Heb je ooit dat gevoel van nostalgie gehad bij het kijken naar een oude foto, zo’n moment dat je meteen terugbrengt naar precies hoe het voelde? Dat is de magie die ik vast leg.
Op jullie trouwdag wil ik dat jullie je volledig vrij voelen. Vrij om te lachen met vrienden, te huilen met familie, om elk moment ten volle te beleven. De zenuwen, de blijdschap, de stille blikken, de wilde dansvloer-momenten. Jullie hoeven je geen zorgen te maken over de camera of of het licht wel goed is. Ik regel dat, zacht en intuïtief, en leg alles vast zoals het natuurlijk gebeurt. Hoe je hand die van je man raakt. Het zachte bewegen van je sluier in de wind. De manier waarop je ogen oplichten als niemand kijkt.
Mijn stijl combineert de eerlijkheid van documentairefotografie met een cinematografisch gevoel en een vleugje editorial elegantie, gevormd door mijn achtergrond in de modefotografie. Maar boven alles draait het mij om emotie. Om het vastleggen van het echte, het pure, de prachtig imperfecte momenten die jullie verhaal uniek maken.
Want wanneer alles voorbij is, de bloemen verwelkt zijn en de muziek is gestopt, zijn het jullie foto’s die alles weer tot leven brengen. En ik wil dat die ervaring net zo moeiteloos en betekenisvol voelt als de dag zelf.

Ik heb vier jaar gestudeerd aan een fotografie en kunstacademie, waar ik me verdiepte in kunstgeschiedenis, storytelling en werkelijk alles rondom fotografie.
Ik geloof er sterk in dat een krachtige beeld emoties en verhalen soms beter kunnen overbrengen dan woorden.
In een wereld waarin tegenwoordig iedereen met een camera zich fotograaf kan noemen, ben ik trots op mijn achtergrond en unieke blik. Dit geeft mij de mogelijkheid om momenten vanuit een ander perspectief vast te leggen.
Ik haal mijn inspiratie uit films, kunst, muziek en mode maar vooral ook uit jullie zelf.
Ik wil écht begrijpen wie jullie zijn: wat jullie drijft, wat jullie liefde uniek maakt en hoe jullie willen terugkijken op jullie foto’s.
Daarom vraag ik altijd ook om een paar van jullie favoriete foto’s tot nu toe (vakantiefoto’s zijn perfect!). Zo kan ik zien hoe jullie jezelf graag terugzien en hoe jullie zelf kijken.
Een van mijn favoriete momenten in fotografie zijn de gebeurtenissen die ons team in Vogue brachten want dat was een enorme boost voor zowel mijn persoonlijke carrière als die van ons collectief. Maar ook het vastleggen van blije tranen, zachte aanrakingen, oprechte knuffels en spontane lachbuien laat mijn hart sneller kloppen. Dit zijn voor mij echt de gouden momenten.
Een andere herinnering die me altijd bijblijft, is een foto van een vijfjarige tweelingen op een bankje, allebei in identieke jurkjes. De één zit netjes en eet zorgvuldig, terwijl de ander haar taart vol overgave naar binnen werkt. Voor mij zegt deze ene foto al zoveel over hun unieke persoonlijkheden.
Ik ben dol op mijn verloofde Erik, ons zoontje Toms en onze vrolijke hond Happy Camper met hen en de oceaan dichtbij voel ik me helemaal gelukkig. Camper steelt schoenen, Toms steelt harten, en ik geniet van elk moment!
Wat is er niet mooi aan? Het is zo bijzonder om twee mensen die diep van elkaar houden te zien, hun families samen te brengen en het volgende hoofdstuk van hun leven te vieren. Het vastleggen van die perfecte momenten die het unieke verhaal van een trouwdag vertellen, is een echte passie van mij. De kans om de liefde, vreugde en verbondenheid op zo’n bijzondere dag vast te leggen, beschouw ik als een groot voorrecht dat ik met hart en ziel koester.
Dit is een makkelijke! Ik HOU van een goed glas wijn en natuurlijk, als echte Hollandse
is een andere guilty pleasure kaas!
Meestal ben ik in het water, want ik hou van surfen! Na elk druk seizoen breng ik altijd talloze uren achter mijn computer door met selecteren en bewerken, en dan heb ik echt een goede reset nodig om weer terug te komen in de echte wereld, haha. Surfen brengt me helemaal terug naar de natuur of beter gezegd, naar mijn eigen natuur.
Bali is onze perfecte hide-out! Hier begin ik ook altijd met het ontwerpen van de trouwalbums voor mijn koppels, waar ik samen met hun hun verhalen tot iets tastbaar en moois omtover.

I dedicated four years to studying at a photographic and art academy, delving into the realms of art, storytelling, and art-history. I firmly believe that strong pictures can have the power to convey emotions and messages more effectively than words. In a world where nowadays anyone with a camera can easily claim to be a photographer, I take pride in my background and unique perspective, which sets me apart and allows me to capture moments from a different angle.
I draw my inspiration from a variety of sources, including movies, art museums, stories, designers, fashion editorials, and music. However, I also find immense inspiration from the couples themselves. It is crucial for me to truly understand the couples I work with.
What motivates them? What is the essence of their love? What are their aspirations and dreams? How do they envision looking back at their pictures, and what would bring them genuine happiness? Also: I'm asking them to send some of their "best" and favorite pictures so far (holiday pictures will do) so I can really see how they like to see themselfs as we all have our personal favorite angles, haven't we?

Some of my favorite moments in photography include the ones that brought our team into Vogue, fueling both my personal and our collective careers. Additionally, capturing happy tears, tender touches, genuine hugs, and spontaneous laughter always makes my heart race. These moments are truly golden shots for me.
Another memorable image is of a pair of 5-year-old twins sitting on a bench, each in identical dresses. One sits prim and proper, eating with precision, while the other gleefully devours her cake like a little monster. This single picture encapsulates so much for me about their unique personalities.
Also last year we shot a huge celebrity wedding with whole hollywood walking around but due to the strict nda's we unfortunately can't share it with the world yet..

I have a deep affection for my boyfriend (yes, Erik, I'm eagerly anticipating our next step together!) and our joyful dog (happy) Camper. Camper is the most cheerful and amusing dog you'll ever encounter; his favorite pastime is stealing random peoples shoes and tossing them into the ocean. I end up running after him and footing the bill for replacing those shoes mostly haha... .
My love for the ocean and surfing runs deep, and as long as I have my family, pets, and the ocean nearby, I am truly content.

What's not to like? The joy of witnessing two individuals deeply in love, uniting their families and celebrating the next chapter of their relationship is truly heartwarming. Capturing those perfect moments that tell the unique story of a wedding day is a passion of mine. The opportunity to document the love, joy, and connections shared on such a special occasion is a privilege I cherish deeply.

Mostly in the water as I love to surf! After every busy season, I have always spend countless hours behind my computer (selecting and editing) that I always need a good reset to come back to the real world, haha. Surfing really brings me back to nature, or should I say, my nature. We have a small romantic house in Bali, so that's my perfect hideout!
This is also the place where I start designing all wedding albums for my beloved my couples.
